Strengthening institutions for local self-governance is at the core of sustainable development, aiming towards building institutionally strengthened GPs that move away from being an implementing agency to being a local self government in the true sense

A critical component leading to institutional development is facilitating the process of a participatory, community-driven Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) and improving transparency in the execution of the plan. Using Participatory Rural Appraisal techniques, the Gram Panchayats are supported in prioritizing their development goals and developing GPDP that is inclusive.
